Antique Parquet – Masterpieces Across Four Centuries
Founded in Vienna in 2007 by master restorer Thomas Reiner, Antique Parquet stands among the world’s foremost destinations for historic and reclaimed parquet flooring.
Our expertise is sought after by museums, heritage institutions, historic estates, luxury hotels, and private connoisseurs who value authenticity, craftsmanship, and timeless beauty.
A Living Legacy
Every antique parquet floor holds within it a story — of artistry, of its era, and of the noble character of wood.
At Antique Parquet, our mission is to preserve these stories and allow them to live on.
Through careful restoration and respectful reuse, each floor is granted a second life, becoming part of a sustainable cycle that honors both heritage and nature.
By reintroducing existing floors into new interiors, we help save thousands of kilograms of CO₂ annually, an environmental benefit equal to the preservation of countless mature trees.
Thus, we ensure that beauty endures — and that the natural world from which it was born remains protected.
The Magic of the Original
Our collection celebrates four centuries of parquet artistry — from baroque paneling and intricate marquetry to rare Art Deco creations and the refined geometry of mid-century design.
Where original floors can no longer be found, our artisans craft faithful reproductions based on historical patterns and techniques, ensuring that every piece retains the soul of its time.
In this way, Antique Parquet brings historic elegance into the modern world, offering a product that is both a work of art and a testament to enduring craftsmanship.
Floors That Tell Stories
An Antique Parquet floor is far more than a surface to walk upon.
It is living history, art you can inhabit, and a legacy that transcends generations.
Our creations are for those who do not simply seek a floor —
but who wish to live with heritage, to feel authenticity beneath their feet, and to make sustainability a statement of style.
Or, as we like to say:
Furniture you can walk on.

Proper care is the simplest way to preserve the beauty, patina, and lasting value of your parquet.
In return, your floor will reward you with longevity and the natural warmth of wood.
Routine Maintenance
In most cases, vacuuming with a soft brush is sufficient. For any remaining dirt or light stains, the floor can be gently cleaned using a slightly damp cloth or as described below. If the surface appears dull or worn, simply re-wax with a standard parquet wax or the recommended Woodwellness care products.

Important:
Never soak the floor with water, and avoid excessive moisture! Over-wetting can cause solid wood parquet to swell or warp.
Deep Cleaning for Heavy Soiling
Use pH-neutral, lukewarm or warm water with a little natural soap, applied lightly to the surface. Do not over-wet the floor. To enhance cleaning, a minimal amount of neutral cleaner may be added. Wipe the floor lightly damp, almost dry, with a cloth or standard mop, then allow it to dry completely.
Extra Tips for Protecting Your Wood Floor
Wood reacts to the room climate. Low indoor humidity can cause solid wood floors to lose moisture, which may lead to shrinking, gaps, or cracks. By maintaining a comfortable indoor climate — approximately 20°C (68°F) and 50% relative humidity — you can largely prevent these natural effects. Color variations and inclusions are natural characteristics of wood and should not be considered defects.
„At Antique Parquet, we are passionate about preserving these unique, often handcrafted floors.
By reusing these historic floors, you also make a significant contribution to conserving natural resources.
Step into the past — and the renewed world of exquisite parquet flooring — and experience its timeless charm in every detail.“
